Our volunteers make Church on the Ridge a special place.
Together, we build a strong community and find our purpose.
Incredible life change takes place all week long at Church on the Ridge. But here’s the thing: we need you! Your story matters and could be the key to others discovering the love of Jesus, as well. If you’d like to get involved, let us know below, and we’ll help find the best place for you to serve!
Director of Volunteers
I am what they call an “out of the womb Christian,” and I feel so blessed to have been raised with God as my guidepost. I have always had a passion for volunteering. I have been on the board in various roles of three PTAs in the Valley. I have also volunteered in many different capacities of any church I have attended.
I am excited about my role here at COTR and look forward to helping you find the calling that God has placed in your heart for service. I am always available to grab coffee or just sit down and chat about where you could best serve here at Church on the Ridge.
“For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to SERVE and to give His Life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45
Meet Kevin! Kevin is the chef behind Ridge Coffee’s breakfast burritos. They make Sunday morning EVEN BETTER!
Kevin Welty first attended Church on the Ridge in February 2023, alongside his wife, Andrea (affectionately known as Drea), and their two boys.
Since then, the Welty family has become a part of our church community. Through regular attendance, Kevin reconnected with Jesus and embraced his faith. Their involvement grew quickly. After attending a Newcomer’s Lunch, Kevin shared his deep passion for culinary arts. It wasn’t long before he stepped into the role of Lead Chef for the 2023 COTR Picnic. His menu—featuring mouthwatering mac and cheese, pulled pork, and homemade BBQ sauces—was such a hit that people are still raving about it!
Shortly after the picnic, Kevin noticed that Ridge Coffee, which supports missions through its proceeds, offered delicious donuts, but lacked a hearty protein option. With a heart for service and innovation, Kevin began volunteering weekly to prepare and donate breakfast burritos for Ridge Coffee to sell on Sundays.
Reflecting on this unique contribution, Kevin shared, “It’s pretty wild to think we’re building God’s kingdom with burritos. I’m still amazed that I get to do this for Jesus!”
Kevin’s love for Jesus, his family, and cooking shines through in everything he does. Outside of church, he works at Costco’s corporate office and cherishes opportunities to enjoy a nice dinner out with Drea, his wife of five years.
Though initially hesitant to be recognized for his contributions, Kevin agreed to share his story in the hopes of inspiring others to use their passions to serve Jesus. His journey is a beautiful reminder of how even simple acts, like making burritos, can make a lasting impact for God’s kingdom.
